Another Huge Milestone for JIDP
The Judo Intellectual Disability Project (JIDP) reached another exciting milestone with the official launch of our Athlete Healthy Eating App on Monday, 19th January 2026. This innovative new resource marks an important step forward in supporting the health, wellbeing and performance of our adapted judo athletes across Europe.
The app has been specifically designed to introduce positive, practical and sustainable eating habits in a simple and accessible way. Through engaging content and clear guidance, it helps athletes to better understand healthy food choices and to build routines that support both everyday life and sporting performance.
More than 120 athletes from our partner countries — Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Greece and Poland, have now begun a ten-week healthy eating journey together. The programme is structured into ten progressive levels, with each week offering three interactive challenges that encourage learning, reflection and real-life application.
This shared experience not only promotes better nutrition, but also strengthens the sense of community across our international network of athletes, coaches and support staff. We are immensely proud of everyone taking part and look forward to seeing the positive impact this initiative will have on health, confidence and independence.
We wish all of our participants an enjoyable, motivating and healthy ten weeks ahead.
